SAF-HOLLAND INTRODUCES NEW ATLAS™ AND CLASSIC™ SERIES LANDING GEAR AND STREAMLINES PRODUCT OFFERING

• Standard North American product offering consolidated into Holland branded ATLAS and CLASSIC Series.

Muskegon, Michigan, June 7, 2010 – SAF-HOLLAND has announced that it has streamlined its North American landing gear offering with the introduction of the ATLAS and CLASSIC Series. The Holland Mark V Series, the industry’s most respected, premium landing gear, will retain its position as the flagship model in the Holland Landing Gear product line.

“Acquisitions and product line extensions over a long period of time produced a redundant landing gear portfolio that generated confusion in the market. We have now integrated these global technologies into a restructured product line-up that better serves our customers with a more defined offering,” said Sam Martin, Chief Operating Officer for SAF-HOLLAND. “Our product team was able to leverage our global design and manufacturing capabilities in modernizing our landing gear offering with the ATLAS and CLASSIC Series in a way that promises to exceed the demands of today’s competitive landscape.

Market accepted features and technologies from former Binkley, Austin-Westran and Holland products have been integrated into both the ATLAS and CLASSIC Series’ product lines.

All ATLAS Series models will feature a three-gear Constant Mesh gearbox, as well as FloatingNut™ and Twin-Bulkhead design - engineered to ensure durable and easy operation for years to come. The first release in the ATLAS Series, the ATLAS 55, will offer a 170,000 lbs. load capacity, a 30,000 lbs. side-load capacity, and a 55,000 lbs. lift capacity. It will be followed by the release of the ATLAS 65 in early 2011 with even greater load capacities.

The economical CLASSIC Series offers many of the same engineering features as the ATLAS Series, but with a more cost-effective two-shaft Constant Mesh gearbox design and lower capacity ratings to meet the market demand for value performance. The CLASSIC has a 140,000 lbs. load capacity, a 27,000 lbs. side-load capacity, and a 39,000 lbs. lift capacity.
